Vladusic, Slobodan (1973, Subotica, Srbija) novelist, essayist, critic. He finished the studies of Serbian literature at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad in 1998. He holds a doctoral degree from the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. Till March 1999, he worked as one of the editors of the magazine Rec (Word). He was the prose critic in Politika, the most eminent daily newspaper in Serbia. He published short essays in NIN and Vecernje novosti. For three years he was the member of prestigious NIN jury for the best novel in Serbia. He has published the following books of literary studies and reviews: “Testing of passion” (1998), “In draught” (2007), “A portrait of a hermeneutic in transition”, “Who killed the dead darling” (2009), novel “Forward” (2009). He is interested in: Serbian literature of XX century, theory of literature and cultural studies. He got the award “Milan Bogdanovic” for the best literary critique in 2004. He also got the award “Borislav Pekic” (2008) for the synopsis of the novel “Forward” and the Vital’s award “Golden sunflower” (in 2009.) for the novel itself. Currently, he works as an professor of the department for Serbian language at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.
