Zvonimir Husić was born in 1934 in Varaždin. He attended Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. He has published poetry and prose as well as children’s literature. His poems have been translated into German, Hungarian, Spanish and Russian. His texts have been included in several anthologies of contemporary Coatian poetry.
He won Branko’s Award in 1975.

Published books: Face to ground (poems), 1974; Time without a face (poems), 1977; Poems of return (poems), 1984; Concised craziness (poems) 1988; Guards of letters (poems) CIP, 1990; Burnt space (poems) 1996; Direction unknown (autobiographic novel), 2002; A tomcat that climbed down the tree and went into sub tenants (novel), 2003; Utiha srca (poems), 2006. He
lives in Zagreb.
