
Gordana Đilas was born in 1958 in Nakovo, Serbia. She graduated from the Department of Yugoslav аnd World Literature, Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. She published books of poetry In front of a Mirror (1985), Sir, Sir (1989), Emperor’s garden (1996), The Star of the South (2002), Memory teacher (2009) and books Six practicioners of the Matica srpska Library (Biblioteka Matice srpske, Novi Sad, 1998), Petrovaradin Fortress Map of the World (with B. Popržan, N. Mamula, Dj. Pisarev; Likovni krug, Novi Sad, 2005) and Bibliografia Indis: 1976–2009 (with S. Vuković, 2010). She was the editor ofWords and Time (selected texts of Milan Pražić, 2002), OpenWorld (selected translation of Dušan Vrtunski, 2003) and Tribina mladih: 1954–1977 (with N. Mamula, 2004). She was the editor of selected bibliographies of many contemporary Serbian writers. She lives and works in Novi Sad.
