Szugyi Zol­tan, born in 1953 in Ada in the So­ci­a­list Fe­de­ral Re­pu­blic of Yugo­sla­via (Voj­vo­di­na / Ser­bia). He com­ple­ted ele­men­tary and high edu­ca­tion in Sen­ta, then spent two se­me­sters on the Fa­culty of Me­di­ci­ne in No­vi Sad and con­ti­nued stu­di­es on the Fa­culty of Phi­lo­sophy, at the De­part­ment of Hun­ga­rian Stu­di­es. He wor­ked in Magyar Szó newspa­pers as a jo­ur­na­list from 1977 to 1985 and from 1989 to 1991.
In 1991, he mi­gra­ted to Hun­gary with his fa­mily due to the war, set­tled in Bu­da­pest, whe­re li­ves to­day and works as an edi­tor.
He pu­blis­hed se­ven bo­oks of po­e­try in Hun­ga­ria and has been a ci­ti­zen of Hun­gary sin­ce 1995. He is the mem­ber of se­ve­ral as­so­ci­a­ti­ons of wri­ters in Hun­gary.
